Partner Steven Shapiro has more than 20 years of experience focused on labeling, regulatory and marketing issues in the food and drug industry.

Partner Marc Ullman also has more than 20 years of experience dealing with regulatory compliance, crisis management, recalls and enforcement issues in the food, drug, cosmetics and supplements fields.

Both Steven Shapiro and Marc Ullman are frequent lecturers, writers, columnists and panelists on matters of interest to the legal profession and the supplements industry.

Trademark counsel Charles Knull provides counsel on intellectual property issues and maintains an active litigation practice reflecting more than 35 years of concentrated experience.

Associate Linda Dougherty's practice includes both food and drug law and intellectual property licensing and litigation. She is a former member of the Brooklyn Law Review and joined the firm in 2008.

Founding attorney Robert Ullman is now Senior Counsel to the firm after more than 45 years advising and representing clients on food and drug regulatory issues before at least a half dozen federal agencies and in civil litigation.

Business and technology counsel Ira Hecht advises the firm's clients on business matters relating to intellectual property, trade secrets and the purchase and sale of business assets, based on more than 20 years of experience. He also possess significant expertise in internet technology and the legal challenges confronting web-based business ventures.

Irving Wiesen was a partner of Bass & Ullman and is now of counsel to Ullman, Shapiro & Ullman. Over his 30-year career, including six years as Division Counsel at Boehringer Ingelheim, his practice has focused on food and drug business, licensing and litigation issues, especially those related to pharmaceuticals.
