Ira Hecht
IRA HECHT'S multi-disciplinary background as a business attorney, certified public accountant and software developer allows him to bring a broad range of value-added expertise to his clients. Mr. Hecht provides highly focused and creative advice on the creation, structuring, acquisition, financing, expansion and sale of privately held and publicly traded businesses, negotiation and implementation of sophisticated business transactions, as well as creative asset protection mechanisms. Mr. Hecht's legal experience has been heavily focused in the following areas: captive insurance, computer and internet law, corporate finance and securities, corporate and business law, domestic and international taxation, insurance law and mergers and acquisitions, as well as the protection and licensing of intellectual property. His extensive negotiating skills and knowledge of business operations and legal issues enables him to provide the highest level of focused advice and hands-on assistance. Mr. Hecht has assisted several nationally recognized organizations in developing and implementing pure and group captive insurance programs as alternatives to commercial insurance. Mr. Hecht advises organizations regarding the optimum captive insurance company ownership structure, as well as the most attractive offshore or domestic domicile for a captive insurance company. Mr. Hecht provides guidance groups interested in utilizing Risk Retention Groups and Purchasing Groups as permitted by the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act.
Mr. Hecht is a frequent lecturer. In addition, Mr. Hecht is a volunteer faculty member for the American Woman's Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Hecht was admitted to the Bars of New York and New Jersey in 1986 and the Florida Bar in 1987. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York in 1987.
