Irving L. Wiesen

IRVING L. WIESEN has been practicing food and drug law since 1980 and specializes in all areas of law affecting the pharmaceutical industry. This comprises all aspects of regulation by the Food and Drug Administration, including drug approvals, drug research, good manufacturing practices, FDA proceedings, and promotional and marketing regulations. In addition, Mr. Wiesen provides services in licensing, research, sales and manufacturing agreements, general commercial and marketing issues, antitrust, personnel, and litigation. He represents both brand name and generic pharmaceutical companies before the FDA and has litigated in both federal and state court proceedings. He has lectured before all of the major professional organizations serving the pharmaceutical industry and has published numerous articles and books on subject matters relating to regulation by the Food and Drug Administration.

Mr. Wiesen was formerly a partner of Bass & Ullman, P.C., a pioneer law firm in the food and drug industry. He also served as Division Counsel for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutical, Inc. for many years. Mr. Wiesen is a graduate of the New York University School of Law, where he was Editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics.
