Robert Ullman

ROBERT ULLMAN is the founder of the firm and was its senior partner before assuming the role of Senior Counsel. He has practiced law for over forty-five years and concentrates on food and drug matters, as well as mail order litigation with the U.S. Postal Service. A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Ullman has tried a number of important FTC advertising cases involving the dietary supplement, direct marketing, and other industries serviced by the firm. He represents major manufacturers and marketers of vitamins, herbs, food supplements, and health foods. Mr. Ullman provides counseling on legal compliance and representation before federal courts throughout the country and regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission, the Food & Drug Administration, and state Attorneys General.

Mr. Ullman has successfully litigated significant cases resulting in important legal precedent for the food and drug industry. He has lectured and written on a wide range of food and drug subjects, including good manufacturing practices, inspections, implementation of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, and compliance with various FDA and FTC regulations. He is a recognized legal authority in the food supplement and mail order fields and has represented a variety of clients before the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Postal Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Justice, and numerous state agencies.

Mr. Ullman is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and is a member of the bar of the Court of Appeals for the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, District of Columbia and Federal Circuits, and the Court of International Trade. Mr. Ullman was a member of The Law Review at New York University School of Law, from which he graduated with honors in 1961.
