DAYREL S. SEWELL received his J.D. from Benjamin N.
Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property
in 2006. Mr. Sewell was Notes Editor, and published several
annotations, for the Cardozo Journal of Law & Gender. During
his tenure at Cardozo, he interned at The Innocence Project
for one year and ultimately exonerated one of his clients. He
has also completed a regulatory internship at Bristol-Myers
Squibb Company working on institutional guidelines for drug
exportation. In 2005, Mr. Sewell won a writing competition sponsored
by the Black Bar Association of Bronx County. Prior to law school,
Mr. Sewell received his M.P.H. from Columbia University with
a concentration in Health Policy & Management in 2002 and
was a Director for medical research studies in New York City.
He received his B.A. in Natural Science & Public Health
from The Johns Hopkins University in 2000. He was a member of
the National Dean’s List from 1998-2000.
Mr. Sewell’s practice consists of Litigation, Food, Drug
and Cosmetic law, Regulatory Law, Trademark law and Copyright
law. He is a member of the New York State Bar, District of Columbia
Bar and the United States Patent Bar. Mr. Sewell is also admitted
to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern
and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the Second and Federal Circuits.
